You know, I've been really pissed about this too. It's like; they've completely forgotten the issues and it's just one big football game. I watch the news almost every night, I read the seattle times web page and yet... I -still- have no idea where any one stands on anything. Granted, I could go look this up but instead I'll wax all intellectual about what I do know and that's Obama claims he stands for change and McCain does not like illegal immigration. I really should look into this, I don't remember the media coverage ever being this bad.
but on another note, who loves crap? my brother-in-law(from the deep south)once said something similar: "why, this sure is a hell-forsaken place." and i could only think...isn't that a good thing? it's funny how language evolves, sometimes.
and on yet a totally different note, i'm afraid to say that i'm leaving RI on monday...so i don't think i'll be coming to NY for awhile. i'll tell you more details in an email or something. or just call me someday, for goodness' sake!
Whenever news is a vehicle to draw viewers for advertisers, there is a problem and the real issues are not going to be discussed. Sensationalism sells. Intelligent analysis does not.
