New music?

Does anyone have suggestions for something fantastic that I should be listening to right now? Recently I joined an indie music community (found off of someone's profile *cough*), and there are all these bands with gorgeous names, but I recognize so few of them that I don't know what to go for first. Thanks

New Music!?!? YYEAAH! I know some good bands you should try. My favorites right now are: Arcade Fire, Air, Sufjan Stevens, Spoon, Neutral Milk Hotel, Microphones, Mt. Eerie, Elliot Smith, Mirah, and Animal Collective.
