Wow, weird. I was searching through some blog thing and found your post randomly. I was going to say something about that on my own LJ, because about a year ago, I bought a collection of SF articles off of eBay, one of which included a promo shot of him in the tub, and I couldn't for the life of me imagine why he would be posed like that for a photoshoot. Thank goodness YouTube clipped him as the ID pic for the Shaggy Dog video (though how they so well related it to Alan Davies's QI vid, I have no idea).

At first, it was like... "Oh look, it's Geoffrey Palmer... and there's Dawn French... and... and... Stephen Fry in the tub..."
And then I was lost. It was all over. :P
All that was between us and his naughty bits was a thin layer of bubbles... *melts*
