I haven't booked the tickets yet, but I'm planning on arriving the Saturday morning BEFORE Christmas Eve (which is a Monday I think), assuming I can get an overnight bus ticket for that Friday afternoon/evening...and hopefully staying until just after New Years. But since my prelim is Jan 25, I don't know if my advisor will let that slide; I'm guessing I'll be able to take at least Christmas week off for sure, but I don't know if I can stay the extra half week I'm hoping for. Preferably I'd like to be on the bus back to Madison on the morning of January 2.
