I have 2 of these and that's about it, LOL. (Hollies & Chris Isaak.) I have lots of Ella, but not that one. (I've got the Sarah Vaughan version.) And I have other Travis songs and other Placido. ;)
Y'know, I kinda agree on Sarah vs. Ella. I'm not a big fan of scat and sometimes I just want someone to stick to the tune, even if it's Ella. Sarah gets a bit "bee deep boop ba" on me as well sometimes, but her "Black Coffee" is awesome.
Ahahaha, back in the days before we had HD tv, and I actually used to use the crappy TV in my room, I'd watch PBS.
I like Peggy Lee's version of "Black Coffee" a lot, too. As far as I'm concerned, Sarah Vaughan's version of "Whatever Lola Wants" is the version of the song. XD I really like Ella's improvised verses of "Mack the Knife," though. Such a crack-up!

I was listening more, and Lehrer's "New Math" came on, and apparently there is a new new math that we are supposed to be teaching our kids starting next year, and the teachers had an elective, unpaid training day for it. (Which my teacher isn't going to, of course, because: elective. Unpaid.) And apparently there are all sorts of rumors about how it involves tons of manipulatives, and takes like an hour to even set up the lesson!

I know I could probably get in trouble for saying so, but I generally prefer Sarah Vaughan to Ella.
