I hate it when...

Jun 02, 2012 03:01

I open up a Google tab to search for something.

Then I switch back to another tab and get involved in other stuff.

Then I go back, and there is the blank Google tab, taunting me.

WHAT WAS I GOING TO SEARCH FOR? IT WAS OBVIOUSLY VERY IMPORTANT. SO IMPORTANT THAT I MADE IT ALL THE WAY TO THE STEP OF ACTUALLY OPENING A TAB FOR IT.

WHAT IS IT?

I don't have the patience for that. My internet connection is too slow. XD

So you can figure out why anyone ever would cast him as Edgar Allan Poe?

I feel your pain. In a "laughing like a hyena" kind of way.

I also have a talent for accidentally opening new windows and forgetting all about the old ones and coming back to the first window, like, five hours later, and being all "Oh crap I meant to respond to that email!"

The more tabs you have open, the more stuff you can do at once!

The more tabs you have open, the more stuff you can ignore doing at once!

There's also that awkward moment when you have SO MANY TABS OPEN that you fear for your computer's safety. But then naturally you just open more tabs.

LOL, I don't ever have open that many tabs.

But I do run both AOL & Firefox at the same time, which. Yeah. My computer is not a fan of that.

Oh man, every day. Some days I remember, most I don't.

One time I was at my sister's work, and couldn't remember Batman's real name (so embarrassing), and it was driving me completely nuts. So I went next door to the DVD store, and found a copy of Batman Begins. She just laughed at me.

I get brain leaks like that ALL the TIME. It is really embarrassing when you can't remember something that you KNOW.

Today my sister was grilling me and her boy for at least a solid five minutes about something that, apparently, she had thought he had told her but apparently I had told her. Which she couldn't remember what it was. Or what it was about. Or when any of these conversations happened (though probably sometime in the last year).

It was like the brain equivalent of the forgotten google tab. Which just makes me long for the day when we're all cyborgs and can actually google search our own brains.

YESSSSSSSSSSSS

Have I told you that I really, really, really want robots to be the new craze that's in everything, a la vampires or zombies? Because I do, I want it so bad.

I have seriously been trying to make cowboys vs robots the new pirates vs ninjas for like the past 2 years.
