Lucy
So I've put off making this post because. Well, I don't think this type of post is very interesting, but I know there's some people on my flist who would want to know. A few months ago, I posted about how our dalmatian, Lucy, had some collapsed discs in her spine & was starting to have trouble walking.
While we were on vacation in Sacramento, she completely lost the use of both hind legs. Little sis (the one who is in most of those pictures in the post I linked) was dog-sitting, and was able to use a harness/sling thing to help Lucy outside to relieve herself until we returned, so Mom could assess for herself how Lucy was doing. With the harness, we were able to give her a few extra days, but she was very unhappy and whining much of the time. We had her euthanized a couple weeks ago. She was 11 years old.
