You know what's funny? The other day, when I was trying to decide where to put a fic, I glanced through Middlefic. There was a prompt (I think Fenix put it up, not sure) for the Middleman and a character of your choice meeting up in a bar and having a 'you think YOU had a bad day' kind of chat.

And the first thing that came to mind? Mal running into the Middleman in a bar on Unification Day, just before he picked a fight with someone celebrating Unification Day (a la The Train Job.)

Somehow, the thought of MM and Mal on the same side in a bar fight just made me giggle.

That would be a fun fic! I've thought this about Mal & Buffy before, but I think it applies to Mal & MM, too: they're so similar that I think they would initially butt heads before eventually realizing that they are motivated by the same sort of things.
