It was all Farscape & Stargate stuff today, and it was, like, the "easy" day or whatever, so
clarkoholic & I planned on going late.
This was the only panel we really wanted to see today (though if we do make one of Dan Shea's other panels, we may pump him for info on Psych).
Five minutes into the panel, & already with the facepalming! \o/
He asks if we've seen Dan Shea's "push-ups". He gives a demonstration:
He's asked about playing different characters on Santcuary, & if it is hard. He says mostly not, because they are so different. One of the people asking a question has his pass for the weekend hanging not on the lanyards we've been given, but on a string of shiny purple beads. Chris asks if he's been to Mardi Gras. Dude responds that the con is Mardi Gras for nerds. Audience cheers. Chris dubs the event "Nerdi Gras".
A woman asks the dreaded Slash Question. Or rather, she asks about the "subtext" between Todd & John. He was pretty fucking hilarious about it, saying stuff about how it came naturally, and after they rolled out of bed, they'd drive to work together, & Joe would drop him off a block away... etc etc.
Someone asks for a funny story from the set of Atlantis. He says he feels pressured, because if no one laughs, then it's not a funny story. He tells about a scene in which Jason-as-Ronon pulled the gun on him early on, then had to hold it trained on him the entire time Chris-as-Todd is carrying on this long conversation with everyone else. By the end of the scene, Jason's arm was wobbling all around with exertion. (Only the way Chris told it was funnier than that.) He told Jason, "Good choice."
He's told he has 5 minutes, so he goes into and around the audience, asking if anyone has questions they were "too shy" to ask at the microphones.
If you've been to a Creation con, you know that they have big banners for each con with pictures of the headlining actors on it. The actors sign all the banners. Chris bsigned it, then wrote things like "Todd was here" with an arrow to the middle of Joe Flanigan's chest, or "XO ♥ U SHEP".
And then I got this for
baldie_troll:
I told him the autograph was for my buddy in Australia, who loved Todd 'cause he was "essentially a badass computer programmer". He chuckled, and then wrote "See you in Feb!" on the picture, so I guess he is going to a con there, & now you have to go, Jamie.
