So, um, yes. Hi again! ::waves:: I feel like a first class idiot for loosing the link to this before I could read it.

Because dayam. I kind of love it a ridiculous amount. Seriously. I vote for more, if at all possible, because it's brilliant.

It's genius and it's beautiful and it's just the right side of quirky and I want to put it in my pocket and keep it. Right after I re-order my thoughts from the continual chorus of 'oooOOOooo, pretty!' that they're engaged in right now. So... it might be a while.

You are such a flatterer, my darling. *beams* Thank you so much - your comment rocks, and made me so very happy.

I know I can't write like Neil (for he is a genius above all other geniuses...geni-i? Something) but I wanted to at least try to capture the vague tone of his writing. I guess it kinda worked?

Thanks again, m'dear. ♥

Indeed it did work. Before posting the comment I was ruminating on the fic and the writing and couldn't figure out how to say something about that without sounding insulting. Anything to the tone of "It's not Neil, but..." sounds quite rude, but it's just... he's Neil, and what can you say?

After I'd already posted, I figured a way that might sort of work. Behold: 'While none can touch the writing of our beloved Neil, he who wields the word like a master beyond all inspiration...' something, blah blah, Neil is amazing, something else... 'and though the fic doesn't quite sound like Neil, it does sound like Richard, and that is quite wonderful.'

It's missing the bridge between the two thoughts, but I think you'll get the general idea.

I like.

BRILLIANT.

I don't know you but I love you an awful lot right now. (I am sheamackenzie's former roomie and Neverwhere is one of my two favorite books and I'm the one who gave it to her. And I may have to friend you now.)

Making friends fall hard for Neil Gaiman books is fun, isn't it? *grins wickedly*

Thank you so, so much for commenting - this isn't actually Shea's prompt, because apparantly I find it harder to write kink when I'm not writing SGA fic...but! This would never have been written if it wasn't for her poking me with a big stick and demanding Neverwhere fic to begin with, so. She has great prompts, apparently (and now wants me to write Jeeves fic. Eeeep! 0_o)

Feel free to friend me, m'dear - us Neverwhere fans have to stick together!

I was supposed to be in bed an hour and a half ago (pfft, whatever) and was struck with the desire to re-read this.

So I did. And now I have a plan.

My plan goes like this:
I give you your whole story back as a prompt and beg shamelessly for MORE! Please? I think it's a decent plan.

I can't even say how much I love this story. I think this is the fourth time I've come back around to read it, but the first time I've de-lurked to comment again. BECAUSE I LOVE IT!

I want to shower more praises upon it and you, but that might detract from the time that I could take beseeching you for the next installment, or even another installment. I mean, once Richard realizes he has made a mistake, doesn't he try to FIX it? Commoooooooooooon... Fix it! Please?!

Look: even Jon Stewart wants you to continue!

You know you want to... or at the very least, I hope that you know that I want you to. ^_^
