the Denon CDJs are particularly good but I think Numark gets it right sometimes. Pioneer is the standard by far so much of their gear is particularly expensive. kinda like the little Denon CDJ's, the newest ones also work as software controllers
noooo... went straight from vinyl/cdj to Torq (which I sold) and Ableton Live - which is kinda cheating but you can do loads of more crazy stuff with it. Torq can use timecode vinyl and its pretty good. Serato is kinda the standard now.
idk I still have one cheap Gemini cdj and kinda want to go back to those. the pioneer ones are in every club and think some of them can load USB sticks or hard drives for more tunes.

I get the idea I should love the Denon, but I just don't.. :$ probably because I'm not a real dj :)
Oh, have you ever used a timecode vinyl setup btw? I've just gotten mine set up and it's awesome. I'll do a post about it later!
