Avoiding fighting with anyone he didn't know was Minato's plan, but some plans never did come to fruition. The teenager was in the library, checking the area to see if anyone had been around and if they needed any assistance. It had been rather quiet, as was normal for a library, but during an event, he was uncertain if he should be pleased or worried about that.

He should have been more aware. His equipped Persona had given no indication that something was amiss. Perhaps because he nor his Persona had expected that a wild animal such as a black panther would be prowling or hiding above on one of the bookshelves as he wandered through the library's stacks.

If Minato had been thinking to look up, it still wouldn't have helped much. The stacks were quite shadowy, so Bagheera's midnight pelt was near invisible. If Minato were lucky, he'd have been able to see his yellow-gold eyes, but by then it would have been too late anyway.

Bagheera was perched atop a bookshelf in the nonfiction section. As a young Man wandered down his row, Bagheera couldn't help but be slightly impressed. The Man-cub was quite stealthy for his kind.

Too bad he failed to look up...

Without a sound, Bagheera simply leaned forward and slid off the shelf, hitting the boy in the middle of the back with the full fallin force of his 200 pounds.

Minato had been preoccupied with quietly moving about the stacks, familiar with the area as he had visited it many times before, alone or with friends. He knew from previous experiences that the library was still not safe from the effects of the events.

Perhaps he should have looked up. He had been anticipating attacks on the ground, not in the air, but he knew now a little too late that he should have been paying more attention to all of his surroundings.

The blue-haired boy was no match for that 200-pound force, ending up on the ground on his stomach pinned underneath the panther. Oh, this is so not good. And ow, hitting the floor like that hurt. Minato winced, knowing he could get his Evoker, but it was in his holster and pinned as well. Thus he did his best to get his hands around the back of his own neck, protecting it. No, you are not sinking your claws or fangs into any vital arteries.

With the boy successfully pinned, Bagheera took just a moment to consider his options.

He flexed his paws so that the tips of his claws were just about to break the skin.

"Do you surrender, Man-cub"?

Poland had a list of priorities. He had to make sure he and Liet were provided for, first, and then see about getting candy for the people who weren't up to it themselves...

But first, right now, he had to slip to the kitchen and grab himself and Liet some food! There wasn't any point fighting on an empty stomach when it could be avoided, was there? The coast seemed clear so far, but something had him slightly on edge--ah, he was probably just paranoid over the event! It'd get anyone a bit jumpy, he was sure.

Lithuania waited outside of the kitchen, on watch at the corridor - one could be trapped within the kitchen very easily. He tugged at his color while looking down the corridor and then back inside the kitchen, hoping that the other nation would not take too long.

Believe it or not, Bagheera had managed to cram himself on top of the refrigerator. He had been there, motionless, since long before the Man-cub had come into the kitchen. Smiling inwardly, he watched as both boys scanned the kitchen for danger but missed the black mass completely.

Such is the near-supernatural power of the leopard...

Reaching the refrigerator, he opened it with a sigh. "Ooookay. So like, what are you in the mood for? I'm kinda thinking bread, some pickled vegetables, some lean meat--stuff that's gonna keep us energetic, but not too full, you know?"

Well, it wasn't like the situation was getting any better staying in his room. So Conan had gone outside, wary of threatening presences, to see what he can do. Fighting was the last thing he wanted to do, but he remembered the last time he tried to stubbornly refuse what the Mansion wanted to do.

He was taking the stairs down to the main entry, when he felt something nearby. Conan stopped to look around, but he couldn't see anything. Still, his instincts told him to be on a look out.

It really is a shame that humans generally don't instinctively look up when they survey their surroundings. On a landing, tucked into a shadowed niche beside a tall vase, Bagheera was waiting. He watched, motionless, as the young Man paused on the very same landing and looked around, thankful for Man's poor night vision.

If only Bagheera knew how lucky he was, for this particular human to miss anything in his surroundings is quite unusual...

He drew in a long slow breath, and just as the boy began to move forward, he sprang.

When Bagheera drew in his breath, Conan could hear it. He glanced up, from where he heard the sound, while quickly changing the way of the body. Jumping backwards, he moved away from the spot he was standing just a few heartbeats ago. However, as much excellent athlete he is, his short legs can only travel him so much.

"What the-?!"

The boy moved just far enough aside for Bagheera to fly past him. He hit the stairs about four feet past Conan, spun around, and went into a crouch to spring again.

No one ever expects the Bagheera Inquisition D:<

This event honestly doesn't bother Ryohei that much, considering that fighting is second nature to him, and he's already gotten his share of candy. So he's just derping along, unsuspecting of anything that might be lurking above him.

While Ryohei is depring along, Bagheera has been watching from the top of a vine-covered archway just outside the mansion.

He waits for the pale Man-cub to wander beneath him...

Here, o confident boxer, have a panther landing on your shoulders.

Ryohei was not expecting that to the extreme!

But he still tries to twist around underneath Bagheera to punch his assailant in the face.

This is the wriggliest Man-cub...

Stop... moving...

Aaaand Bagheera just got punched in the face.

Oh.

Hell.

No.

He growls, ears back and eyes squinted, and not-so-gently deals the boy a clawless bat to the side of the head.

Dean doesn't really dig the collar thing. It's weird and makes him think of bondage, and he's a little more simplistic in the bedroom, thankyouverymuch. Regardless, this event is kind of crappy and he doesn't exactly want to die.

Again.

So he's armed himself with a sawed-off shotgun, a duffel bag of ammo, and is pretty much lurking through the halls, keeping tabs on the dangerous ones.

And maybe keeping an eye on the ones that might need his help.

Bagheera watches the tall Man from atop a china hutch in the tea room.

He waits until he is not only close enough, but so that he it surned in a certain way...

In a swift, fluid movement, Bagheera leaps from the hutch. But his 200 pounds does not collide with the Man, oh no. He collides with the bag, slamming it onto the floor with a satisfying echo.

The tall Man isn't exactly expecting gigantic housecats to pounce from ten feet above his head, ripping the duffel of ammo from his shoulder and pulling him to the ground. Hitting wood boards with a thud - and a groan - Dean rolls away from his bag, scrambles to his feet, and points his sawed-off at a-

"The Hell-?" Dean cocks the gun hastily, eyes wide. "When did this place turn into the friggin' Jungle Book?"

Oh, Dean. Your pop culture references might serve you well, for once.

Bagheera has no idea what the Man is talking about.

But he does know a gun when he sees one.

He gives Dean a terrifyingly-wide-eyed stare and roars loudly, then swipes a paw at the shotgun.
