Ron was... less punctual, though he was certainly proud of himself. He actually remembered that he was supposed to meet someone without his mum or Hermione needing to prod at him! Not knowing what he needed for this whole "skating" thing, he decided to just leave as is, interrupting his lackadaisical spellwork and sticking his wand in the pocket of his sweatshirt.

Once downstairs, he looked around and saw only one person in the hall. "Er," he said as he approached the other boy, not sure what he'd been expecting. "Samemaru?"

Once he heard his name being called, Samemaru looked up from his panda and looked at the boy. He wasn't sure what the other looked like, but he could tell from yesterday's conversation that it was a young boy and probably either European or American. The person in front of him seemed to fit that description.

"Yes? Are you Ron-kun?" he asked, turning to face the other.

"Just Ron, yeah," he replied, stopping a few feet away from Samemaru and looking him over. Ron wasn't the most tactful of boys, not by a long shot, but he did always feel a slight bit nervous meeting people from other cultures, whether those cultures are Muggle or Asian. As such, he managed to keep the derisiveness out of his voice as he gestured towards the panda bear.

"Is that, uh, a stuffed animal?"

"Ah! Yeah, sorry, just Ron then," Samemaru apologized.

"Him?" Samemaru took Standard off the belt loop and held him up. "Mmhm, his name is Standard. It looks like a stuffed animal but it actually serves as a communicator and a weapon back at home!" He tugged off the panda's left ear which came off to show it was a speaker-mike.
