By now Rose had gotten a bit around the mansion and easily found her way towards the kitchen. The first couple of times had been an adventure running into other rooms instead. She wondered about Saffron's Earth-that-was. Had aliens taken it over? War? Anything was possible. And hopefully she'd get some answers. Answers and cake.

Spotting the woman as she entered and then glancing at the ingredients she smiled. It had been a while since she'd last bake herself, which had been a cake for her little brother. "Saffron, yeah?" There was really no question about it. "Need any help?" she offered.

Saffron looked up from her cake ingredients and grinned. "Hi, Rose." She looked over the table and bit her lip. "Um, no I think I've got it under control mostly... but you could cut up strawberries and raspberries for me. I'm making an angel food cake, and the fruit will go between and on top. Is that alright?" She went back to her mixing.

"Hi," she said again giving the woman a small wave and then observing for a bit. It seemed like she had things like she had said. "Sure that wouldn't be a problem." And with that the blonde walked over to fetch the knife and the fruit to place it down on the counter and started to chop them up. "So you're from the future, then?" She couldn't help but ask glancing over. Then again it could very well be the past with all these different universes.

"I guess it's the future. The future for most people here, anyway. For Patchouli and the Winchester boys, about 500 years." Saffron poured her batter into two small pans, then slid them into the oven. "I guess with all these people you can never tell whose world is related, but... yeah. It's close enough to the future, so I'll call it that." She pursed her lips at the oven, seeming to consider. "Would you mind whipped cream instead of frosting?"
