Kaylee had been starting to wonder why it had taken him so long to get to her room, and jumped it to get the door as soon as he knocked on the door. "Yeah, yeah, come in!" She said with a smile, but it started to fade as she heard him gasping, "Everythin' okay? Oh. Right, water. I'll get some."

She left the door open for him to come through and went to grab him some water like he requested. She didn't suspect that the real reason he was late and out of breath was that he had been lost, even though that would have probably been the obvious conclusion.

((kjsalfkjf I'm so sorry this took me until today. I had so rl problems this week, but better late than never, right?))

"Th-thanks," he gasped gratefully, leaning in the doorway. He drank the water in noisy gulps, wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, and smiled at Kaylee.

"I really need to remember to ask people where they live first." Beast Boy glanced around the room. Wow. So this is what rooms are supposed to look like without clothes and random items strewn about every which way. "Nice room. Um... is it alright if we sit down?"

[ooc: IT'S FINE, REALLY. I know how that goes. Take however much time you need ♥]

Kaylee laughed at his comment, "I probably should've asked ya if you knew anyhow." She followed his glance around the room. Even though James had been staying here to stay away from Sirius, it was clean. The only piece of clothing that was laying about was a giant pink dress, that looked more like a layer-cake than a dress, which hung on a peg next to the closet. She had pulled it out of the closet for sentimental reasons, since Mal had bought her a dress exactly like it when they'd invaded Inara's shindig.

"Of course it's all right! Don' see why anyone'd have furniture they don' use." She gave him a big smile, and went over to sit on her bed.

Beast Boy followed, sitting down beside her on the bed. He'd come here to talk, but he was still trying to figure out just where he should start. No need to get anyone down with his problems, right? ...Okay, so he really needed an outlet to his issues other than Kite. That's what he'd come to Kaylee for. Still, he'd much rather start out the conversation positively. (Just blurting out "MY LIFE KINDA SUCKS RIGHT NOW" didn't seem like the best opening statement to make.)

He fidgeted while he thought, swinging his feet and biting the tip of one of his gloves. "So, uh. Yeah." Best introductory line ever. Way to go, Beast Boy. He cleared his throat, swinging his legs a little more. "Um. You first. You seemed kinda down when we last talked. You sure everything is okay on your end?"
