Well, that sounds interesting. I found that The Fall of Icarus to be a rather interesting storyline and I was interested in where it was headed as a fanfic. I especially loved your choice in pairing (It is rather hard to find quality written Neji/Naruto fics in my opinion), but I see that you have not actually given it up and that it will instead be an original fic. This makes me even more intrigued. Personally I like slow moving, intricate stories like yours. I guess it might not be to everyone's tastes, oh well you can not please everyone. Keep up the good work so far.

P.S. I would be interested in being added as a friend if possible.

thank you so much! in not trying to please everyone and instead choosing to please myself more, and hopefully (without much hope) still hold my readers' interest, i'm really glad i didn't lose you in the process. at this point, after spending all day trying to reconfigure Naruto'verse to one of my Realms, i can definitely promise the conversion will be slow moving and intricate ^_^;

Well, I can't deny that it is very sad to hear that Fallen won't continue in fanfic form, but I understand your reasoning. It is hard when you put a lot of work into the plot and themes, and all people care about are the pairings. There is so much more to a story than the romance guys!
I feel a bit bad because I've just been reading without commenting, but I didn't have anything constructive to say. It seemed like you have it all worked out and had a support system in place already. Sorry.
And as for world building: I have completely moved on from the Naruto fannon, apart from storys like yours who keep dragging me back to check for updates. I recently looked at the latest Manga chapter and laughed, I have no idea how authors like you can build and weave such a complex and believable storyline from so little. I admire your story and I admire your decision to work harder to try and get the audience it deserves.

i don't blame you. besides all of 2 writers, i don't read fanfiction for Naruto either, and the compliment you've given me is like fireworks in my brain right now. so, really thank you so much for the interest in reading my stories no matter what form they come in.

*smiles* Are you asking me if there's an actual plot? That answer is: Not anymore. I write by a practice of ever-evolving-ideas. So, I may start off with a theme or a scene in my head, and from there the question becomes 'What acts best describes this theme?' or 'What acts lead up to this scene or come after it?' And then starts the constant worry that I'm failing at expressing the heart of the idea even as it molds to suit the story more. Did 'Fall' have a plot? Yes, but it changed. Did it have an outline? Yes, but it became irrelevant after chapter three. 'Fall' is ultimately just a List of Ideas. Those ideas will either be executed well, or not so well. Thing is, the only way I can know that is from comments. So, when there is no feedback or when the majority of it has nothing to do with the storytelling, then to me that says the story failed, time to scrap it and perhaps try again. All that to say, if you think one of my stories is well put together, then I think that's the best news I read.

wow. you must have the patience of Saint Peter awaiting the return of the disco age, because i have been kicking myself in the head trying to get my Angst Demon to allow me to finish this story for the last couple years and it's not going well . . . but i promise your patience will not be in vain! unless i die unexpectedly Hoshi will be finished. thanks for the encouragement.

I recently went back to reread some of my favourite stories from the HnG fandom, and was pretty happy to find this thread. It's nice knowing that you do plan to finish this. If it doesn't come to pass, can I request that there be a post about how it ends? It's not the same as reading the story itself, but I like to have some closure.

y'know, it never ceases to amaze me how many people actually like this fic. very humbling, but it also adds a hint of pressure because i don't want to disappoint, but my writing isn't what it used to be (and i can't really say it's improved . . . more like degenerated). Your request is valid, though so, if i don't finish this story by the end of this year, i will post a conclusion. everybody deserves closure. here's hoping the Demon agrees. Thank you for such a sweet comment.
