Do you know what day is today? Today was D-Day , the day the Allied landing took place ! It was an amazing event , a logistic and military wonder really if u think of how many men , vehicles and other necessary stuff were involved. Many brave men lost their lives on the beaches !
Also, 2 more week and I'm off to Krakow for my 24th bday !!!!

I did get your tips, was going to reply to it but my internet went out and then I forgot.
It's very nice to hear what people you know mention as "attractions" because the guides and internet and history/geography/culture general knowledge may not be very accurate . I'm looking forward to seeing some of the John Paul II related stuff ,I hear there's also a little museum, and the Holocaust/WWII related stuff + architecture and the feel of the place in general.
Oh yeah, do they have nice parks and stuff? I read there's a sort of green belt surrounding the old city ,made in place of the fortifications .
How's the safety? I'm not too worried about it but can't hurt to ask if there's some area that is touristy but that you should avoid at night.

Krakow at night? I never spend the night there but Krakow is really a safe city, as safe as other bigger European cities. I never had any problems there but I wouldn´t walk through small passages at night but since it´s a student city, Krakow is never really sleeping.
