That was a really good casefic, and a pretty awesome ending too.

Thanks so much for taking the time to comment! This was my first casefic and it was way harder than I anticipated. I am so glad you enjoyed it. The ending was also challenging because I am a sucker for happy endings and wanted something that would allude to one but still stay true to Sam and Dean. So glad you liked it! Thank you again for commenting.

I hope to see more of them. I think you got the characters really well.

Really good! Clever with the Hypnos and river Hades, I liked how Dean (and Sam) was forced to face the truth through the sleepwalking, and I really like the ending which is not quite a happily-ever-after, but hints at it. Thank-you!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read and comment! It was my first casefic (lots of research) and I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I wish I could take credit for the sleepwalking desires but that was all part of the prompt my friend gave me :) I'm a sucker for happy endings but I wanted to keep it as true to Sam and Dean as I could, I'm relieved it came across that way! Thank you again for commenting!

COMMENT 1/3

Dude! Omg, okay. I'm gonna try to contain myself while writing this out. It's been a long time since I've left feedback on anything so I'm sorry if it's jumbled but I just--I LOVED THIS SO MUCH. I'm not blowing smoke up your ass, either. Like, I know casefic is one of the hardest things and you had to do all of this research because I was ridiculously specific about the prompt, but it all came together so WONDERFULLY and I really appreciate that you took the time to address all my bullet points!

-the gods are doing it: CHECK
-sleepwalk murders: CHECK
-dean winchester whammy: CHECK
-deny deny deny: CHECK
-Freddy Krueger: CHECK

There's probably more, but I'd have to reread my own prompt to remember because it's been so long. Needless to say, you totally nailed it. So now you have to bear with me while I copy/paste my running commentary into a separate comment because I'm over the character limit, lmfao. LJ don't stifle me, son!

COMMENT 2/3

- I love that we both involved Illinois somehow as a case location. I know I only have 2 words written for your prompt, but out of the 50 states what are the chances?
- Dean bribing baby Sam with money! LOL
- bless your heart for making Krueger refs
-He-of course-has three numbers written on three different receipts NOT THAT SAM'S COUNTING OR ANYTHING
- The whole "killing your bully" thing is totally giving me flashes of s4 After School Special!
-rich doctors and their fancy golden fountains and their sports cars, pssh
-Dean looks at him-Dr. Pnoma’s back to them as he continues to ramble-and gestures about killing himself. OH DEAN, forever that guy.
-“Agent Englund I am everybody’s doctor…” omg omg more elm street refs. Is Thompson a ref too? That one went over my head, lol.
- It was fucking Phil, I know it was. Pharmacists get so much shit from people about prescriptions you just know he's disgruntled...
-some salesman in this town has to be doling out fountains like it's mary kay
-Phil says reaching out and running a ( ... )

COMMENT 3/3

(LJ SERIOUSLY MADE ME BREAK THIS UP INTO 3 SEPARATE COMMENTS ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Next time I will just email you. Shit.) Anyway, wrapping it up:

So, cross your fingers and hope the formatting goes through okay. I'm rusty. Again, this was so so great. The pacing, the flow, the sass and the banter, all of it super enjoyable and I just can't believe all of this was for me! Best Christmas present ever, thank you so much! I love you!!! I'm so sorry I took this long to read it and I'm gonna get you yours ASAP. I don't know how to end this comment...Happy President's Day! :D
