Vancouver BC weekend goodness

I'm going to come off pretty uneducated here, because I am. Still, doing research from a nice baseline rather from scratch seems like a winner

Vancouver is always worth the trip. It's big enough to have two gay neighborhoods. I've usually ended up staying near Commercial Drive (the hippie lesbian area) with several of Brian's lesbian ex-girlfriends from high school and college. Unfortunately, my local contacts mean that I've never developed a great sense of the local geography either. The other gay area is just west of downtown near the Seawall, I believe, and would be more convenient for walking access to downtown areas.

The Vancouver art museum is pretty interesting, especially if you like Emily Carr. Little India is of course a big draw for me as well.
