Mission Post - Bacchus, Day 12

Sep 09, 2009 10:54

He didn't know when he'd fallen asleep. Or how, as he was feeling mighty uncomfortable physically and on edge mentally. Still, Leonard found himself cracking open his eyes to the dingy light of the holding cell they'd been thrown in. It'd been.... hell, he had no clue how long they'd been locked up. Spock would probably know, sitting off in a ( Read more... )

"I'll break you..." she slurred smuggling in closer. Damn male, didn't he know she never woke up before well into the day? And what was he doing in her quarters anyway? And why was she so sore...?

And just like that she was suddenly awake.

Sky was not a good morning person usually, and considering the events of yesterday this particular morning was unlikely to change that run of form. However this morning did have one positive thing going for it; she had woken up wrapped snugly around Leo. Anyone else, except for maybe Jim, she would have had a small meltdown but she trusted Leo, perhaps even had a small crush on him, if she was being really truly honest with herself. So waking up to the rumble of his voice and the smoothing of his hand against her back, tended to be one of the more pleasant wake up calls she had experienced.

Sleepy blue eyes blinked up towards Leo's face, "Got a plan?" She yawned slightly, resting her head against his chest comfortably. "I'm ready to hear it."

The Vulcan had spent all night mediating in a healing trance so that his body would heal and so he would not feel so physically drained so that when the time came for them to leave he would not be unable. Now he was feeling satisfactory and able to move, his left eye healed over and he could see clearly out of it. “It has been 16.5 hours since we have been returned to our cell and we have had 16 of full rest,” he reported calmly as he stood gracefully. Spock patted the dirt and dust from his black pants before advancing forward to check Anderson’s vitals sings.

Sky was just as cute as a kitten waking up as when sleeping. And came with her own set of claws. He smirked down at her, watched her do the opposite of getting up. Rather liked the idea of having a warm body against him. Outside of Jim and Jo, she was the first person he'd slept with in nearly a hands-worth of years. But again, it wasn't something that could last ( ... )

Spock turned slightly to raise an eyebrow at the doctor. “I was resting just as you and Lt. Cavendish.” he pointed out calmly as he stepped away from Anderson’s bed so that the doctor had room to work. He watched McCoy for a few moments before he had to turn away to keep himself controlled and calm. Spock did not think that what happened the previous night would affect him so much but every time he watched the Doctor work now he focused on the man’s hands. If he was less of a Vulcan he’d sigh right now. “I was mediating,” Spock clarified. “So that my wounds would heal and thus I would be able to perform at a satisfactory leave today,” he stood tall and straight with his hands behind his back in the corner of the room where he had been seated prior to the other waking.

Inside the lavish recieving room there was silence for long moments. Schuyler stared at the High Lady Boudicca with something close to horror on her pretty face, while the beautiful purple woman looked back at her with perfect serenity. "You must understand, I fully support the push for equality of women in male dominated societies, I really do. But ( ... )

Well, they had a bit of good news, finally getting a hold of the Enterprise. It'd felt better than he'd thought possible to hear Scotty's voice. He waited as Spock messed with the outdated machine, then tried hailing Jim again. He didn't get any further than, "McCoy to Kirk," when the door into their little room burst open. Before they knew it, they had purple people on them again.

Some stories just weren't funny even a first time.

It was hard to tell how many of them there were. All Leonard knew was that he had three on him, shouting something at each other concerning Boudicca as one each grabbed an arm and the third lifted his feet up. He was being carried like a damn hog for a roast. "Get the communicator!" he shouted between angry grunts as he struggled. Somehow, it had gotten dislodged or thrown from his hand. Whatever, other things were occupying his attention. Like kicking for all he was worth as they carried him out of the room, freeing an arm long enough to give someone a bloody nose, getting a bloody nose of his ( ... )

Spock ripped the headphones from his head and dashed forward but was shoved back harder then he thought the purple man could shove. His back hit the desk hard enough to knock him to his knees which ended up being a good thing. The communicator was just off to the side; he grabbed it, turned it off and placed it in the only logical place he knew. The front of his pants. The guards would search his pockets for it when they got their hands on him and it was still likely that they would find it where it now resided. The Vulcan got to his feet and ran out the door just in time to be met with a large man ( ... )

“If you want your man to live then stop!” the gravel voice called out to Spock from a man holding Anderson by the neck, ready to kill him at any moment. He had his hands up and feet planted in a simple stance of the Vulcan Martial Art, he had not had the time to change from a defense stance to an attack stance yet but he was about to when the man had called to him. Spock closed his eyes as he center himself, when his eyes opened again he trained them on Anderson; the man looked scared and was shaking. Spock shifted his eye then to the third man who had attacked him still holding the club up ready to go again. The Vulcan knew his chances of getting to Anderson before he was killed would be slim to none so he backed down. His hands fell to his sides and he straightened. “Now,” the man holding Anderson’s life in his hands said. “Where is the communicator he had?!” The purple man’s voice raised as he become anger and pointed at Leonard ( ... )
