MISSION POST: Maros An - Day 48 - Private

Sitting in the back of the shuttle as it prepped to lift off from the hangar bay and take them down to the planet, Scotty stifled a yawn in his sleeve and tried valiantly to look more awake than he felt. It didn't seem to be working out all that well. One day they were going to have a mission schedule that didn't clash horribly with his sleeping

Although he'd teased Scotty about taking the shuttles as opposed to using the transporters, Keenser had felt a little relieved when he'd heard that they were in fact taking the shuttles. Nothing against Scotty or the transporters, of course, but Keenser had no desire to end up like that poor beagle.

As early as it was, he was wide awake for once, having opted not to bother going to sleep the night before. He waited until he'd found a seat to reply to Scotty's greeting, after wrestling a bit with safety harnesses designed for someone much taller than him. "No sleep." With a pointed look in Scotty's direction, he added, "Sleep too much. Sleep one day and not wake up, like Human story."

He wasn't entirely happy about having to take the shuttles, to be honest. Transporters were so much more convenient. But as he understood it, they'd been politely but firmly 'asked' not to use them while they were in the system. "Think y'may be there first person's ever told me I sleep too much," Scotty said, raising an eyebrow in Keenser's direction. Usually he was getting told the opposite. Which was entirely unfair, really; he slept when he needed to.

"Always sleeping," Keenser replied with the sort of grin that suggested he was far too amused by the conversation. "Go to office, napping at desk. Get work done, how?" It probably wasn't fair of him to tease Scotty before the Human was properly awake, but how else was he supposed to keep himself entertained on what was going to be a boring trip planetside?

Gaila sprinted down the hall towards the shuttle bay, mentally chiding herself for not managing to get herself out of Esteban's bed and into the shower sooner. When she got there, Keenser and Scotty were already inside. "Sorry, boss," she greeted him. She was only about 30 seconds late, but she preferred to always be early. She smiled warmly at him, and then nodded at Keenser. "Good morning."
