The machine eventually gave its closing beep and Christine said, "Okay, that's good!" A final jotted note - no change - and she was smiling warmling at Creed.

Of course, she watched Creed's physical, slightly amused at the pink look on her cheeks and the raggedness in her breath. That sounded oddly familiar -- and brought a bright red blush across Rousseau's face.
