Captain's Quarters/Biolabs - Afternoon day 17 ((Closed/Unfinished))

Oct 17, 2009 00:03

Sky was humming cheerfully as she made her way down the hallway that would lead her to the Captain's Quarters. She knew, after having consulted the ships computer, that Jim's shift had ended an hour or two ago, and she hoped to find him at his rooms. It had been a surprise, but a nice one, for her to realise that she enjoyed hanging out with Jim ( Read more... )

Sure enough, Kirk was reading in his room, the tattered old copy of Treasure Island cradled in his hands. He hardly noticed when the comm rang Miss Cavendish's arrival, the second ping bringing him out of his reading-induced haze. He set the dog-eared book down on his desk and headed towards the door, not even noticing that he hadn't taken the thick black frames off his face.

"Hey, princess," He grinned wide down at her when the door swooshed open. "What brings you here?"

"You need to drop that nickname." she growled, grinning up at him, amused by the glasses perched on his nose. "By the way, like the glasses," A slender finger tapped the frame gently, "Very sexy." Well Jim flirted with her all the time, probably wouldn't do any harm to give some Sky charm back.

"I'm here to give you a guided tour of a part of the Lady Enterprise you might not have seen before." She said, brushing a dark lock of hair back behind her ear, "I think you will like it. That is if you aren't too busy?"

"Do not. It's nice." He grinned wide whenever she tilted up, a fingertip tapping the thick frames. "Hell -- forgot I had those on." He took the glasses off, sliding them into his pocket. Kirk never really liked how he had looked in glasses -- and being allergic to the only medication ever invented to treat near-sightedness made them a necessity when he wanted to read. "Thanks, though," He smirked, all too glad to accept the sexy comment.

"Really, now? I've been around her quite a bit..." But he ventured outside of his room, feeling somewhat dressed down in the black undershirt and trousers, his hands digging into his pockets. "I'm not busy at all. Where to?"

She rolled her eyes at him, a smile teasing at her lips, "You are incorrigible." she informed him, mouth curling up at the corners, "And don't let it go to your head."

Beaming happily when he stepped outside Sky moved off a few paces down the hallway, looking back to make sure he was following before turning completely around and walking backwards, facing him. "We are going to the xenobiology section." she informed him, quickly adding, "It will be interesting I promise."
