I can't really believe that Lindsey shot up the boardroom and told Nathan and everyone else there to fuck off. He saved my life whether he really meant to or not. I still can't quite wrap my head around the him leaving part though. I've kept telling myself that it's bothing me,because I won't have someone around anymore that gets me,the same someone who I can snipe at and they actually play the game right.

After getting my ass saved and winning Lindsey's promtion by defualt I decided the next morning to see if he'd actually left town yet or not. After all I still owe him a thank you for saving me, and I deserve a chance to say goodbye. Luckily it's a rare weekend that I have the day off.

I drove over to his place and made my way up to his fifth floor apartment. Once I made it to this old familar door I took a few deep breaths,and then knocked on the door. Hopefully he hasn't left yet, although his car's still in the parking lot I noticed on my way in.

It's around noon when there's a knock at the door. I had managed to shut all of the blinds by this point, but I'm still not exactly in good shape. I'm starving. I'm hungrier than I ever thought possible. I'm not sure how much longer I can deal with this before I break into one of my neighbor's apartments and get some lunch, if you catch my drift.

Maybe whomever is at the door will substitute for a meal.

I look through the peephole and see that it's Lilah, of all people. Well, I suppose I'll try not to eat her. I still kind of like her, soulless or not. Of course, I could always sire her. She'd be incredibly formidable as a vampire. I keep the thought in mind when I open the door to her. Luckily, I actually thought to clean up after I woke up.

"Hey, Lilah," I said after opening the door. "Stop by to say goodbye?"

"Something like that.." I say as I look him over. It might just be my imagination,but something seems off about him. "I thought you'd have left town last night or something..I wanted to see if you had or not."

"I got sidetracked last night," I said to her when she said that she would have thought that I would have already left. Well, it is the truth, no matter how much I might be sugarcoating it at the moment.

"So, do you want to come in? Join me in a final toast or something like that?" Right now, all I want is for her to come in here so that I can have something to eat. My walls are sound proof, like all apartments of Wolfram & Hart employees, so I have nothing to worry about once I get her inside.

I step aside from the doorway so that she can come inside.

I didn't stop moving right away even as he told me to,and slammed me into the wall a little harder. "Worse how exactly? What are you going to kill me Lindsey?" I asked him,kind of hoping that he'll just let me go.

I don't want to become a vampire,and okay sure I had a thing for Lindsey and we fucked a few times,but it's not like it really meant anything. I did have a small thing for vamps,but it didn't go this far.

"I might," I snapped at her when she didn't quit moving right away. I'm not even sure I can stop myself from doing so at this point. All I can smell are her fear and her blood at this point. It's starting to drive me crazy.

"What is it, Lilah? Don't want to live forever? Keep that beautiful face intact? Maybe even avoid the chopping block at the firm? Just because it didn't happen yesterday doesn't mean that it won't happen in a few years."

I stop moving when Lindsey says that he might kill me. When he started talking about being immortal and keeping my youth, and the firm I sighed. "Maybe." I looked around trying to figure oyt how to get out of here.

The fear's rising,but oddly and I'll kick myself for this later,but I think I'm kind of attracted to vamp Lindsey.

I smiled when she said maybe. I used my free hand to cup her chin. "Then sit still," I said to her. I can smell through the fear. I know that at least a part of her wants this.

I slip into my 'game' face and lean forward, biting her on her neck.

"No I'm free for the night actually." I tol;d him as I stupidly moved slightly closer to him instead of the door where my escape was. I'm sure I'll regret this later,but I can't help it I'm intriuged by this new Lindsey.
