Tess doesn't come to the Bucket often. It's not that she thinks she's above it... she just doesn't have the time, with how thinly-stretched the station's few competent engineering types get. But she's there now-drawing a few looks from the other attendees in the background, people who recognize the pretty girl in the slinky layered dress-thing that ( Read more... )

Sah'ot and Tavros: The Shippening 2sexy4myuplift August 13 2011, 08:41:45 UTC
Ifni's boss, Tess... Sah'ot thought as he used one of his waldo armss to sip something that smelled and tasted like primitive rocket fuel. ...It'll be tough to get Tav brave enough to talk to you when you wear things like that.

Not that things hadn't already been difficult. He'd explained to Tavros how buckets had nothing to do with human reproduction, but some residual nervousness probably still remained. The mildly intoxicating and rather fruity drink he bought him would help, Sah'ot hoped.

"She'sss checking you out, Tav." He said with a grin to his young charge.

Some residual nervousness indeed. Tavros was clutching the half-empty cup like it would somehow make the bar less perverse. All he could think of was his friend Equius, and how he would sweat himself away to nothing if he ever saw what Tavros passing under that sign. He had no idea how Sah'ot convinced him to come inside in the first place.

And now someone was watching him. It took Tavros a few moments to figure out what exactly Sah'ot meant by 'checking you out.' Uncertainty, embarrassment, and terror were mixed on his face as he twisted his head to find the mystery 'she'. He made the mistake of looking her straight in the eye for just a fraction of a second before turning away as though her gaze had burned.

"Umm," his face coloured slightly as he examined Sah'ot's face, trying to figure out if he was joking. "That's, uh, what?"

"That isss Tess Lee, one of the most-t beautiful girls on the station. Did you see how she smiled at you?" He said, laying it on a little thick as he downed the rest of his (what could generously be called a) drink.

"Really?" He stared at her once more, looking like a deer in headlights. Tavros wasn't sure how to feel about any number of things there. The first obstacle he had to wrap his head around was the idea of a human being pretty. He hadn't really considered that, but through a series of furtive glances, Tavros decided that Sah'ot was right. She was definitely pretty, in an exotic, mystical kind of way. Like the fairies in his stories, but mysterious in different ways. Bigger, for one thing, and significantly more real. And that is the story of how Sah'ot opened Tavros up to the possibility of someday getting some alien bootie. Thanks dolphindad.

"Do you," he hesitated, "know her? Because maybe she's smiling at you, on account of you being friends, and there aren't actually any flushed intentions." That struck him as much more likely than her having a flushed interest in him.
