Talbot glanced briefly over at the sensor display, then at the bay Akakias had indicated, and nodded. "Bay 1138? Should work," he said, throwing the fighter into a hard right bank to avoid an outbound freighter.
The ship twisted and turned, banked and rolled, weaved and dodged as Talbot made for Bay 1138.
"Keep an eye on the beacon's signal. If anything changes, you let me know that instant; might mean we need to change our plans."
Unfortunately for both of them, Kai was unable to inform them that he and his beacon's movement were moving in directions not parallel to each other. If they passed anyone in these odd back alleys, he didn't notice - and they certainly didn't say anything, if that was the case.
His head was swimming somewhat, a likely unintended side effect of the drug they'd injected him with, and it was a struggle just to see where his feet were dragging along, having stopped bothering trying to walk moments ago. Instead, he repeated whatever he could see in the hopes that, perhaps, his thoughts would break through that barrier and reach any of his shipmates. Yuri, or Talbot, or Akakias, or anyone he'd spoken to in the past... granted, that would likely be a stretch of how far he could throw his thoughts.
Dragging his feet to slow them was only so effective, too, as it just made the aliens curse and pick him up directly.
