My snake is all grown up now.

I thought I'd do a snake post, since Niko's fully grown now and I haven't put up pictures of him for more than a year. For anyone that doesn't know, in September 2011 we found a baby snake curled up in the recycling, and I kept it. Because in my family that's often how we end up with pets.

Wow has it been two and some years? It seems like just a few weeks ago you had him in the fish tank! or maybe I just pay attention to peoples' pets because i have none. (I would go for a snake, I think. or a cat.)

He's gotten so large! and the Mars Bar comparison is most excellent. :) I want to hold him after all these lovely pictures.

I didn't realise it had been such a long time either. He's grown so much that he's now in his own giant tank with rocks to climb and little wooden houses. It's funny since he was a complete accident, I'd never even thought about having a snake before we found him.

He's fun to hold, he's usually cold until he absorbs the heat from your hands and then once he's warm he'll be adventurous.

Do corn snakes live a long time?

So big, I swear I don't notice until I have to do progress reports!

The internet says corn snakes can make 20 years. So accidental pet might end up being a houseguest for a while yet.
