Mike was placed as an Alternate on the JET Program. Most alternates get placed somewhere, sometime, but they sometimes find out weeks before they have to leave

I`m done with the JET Programme. It`s time for something new. The more I think about the farming thing, the more it grows on me. (. . . ...HA!) and I`m really looking forward to it now.

It sounds like a great program, totally unabashedly hippie-rrific, too. I`ve never really explored that side of myself....

and plus it will be me and Mike, together, traveling, and living and figuring us out.

I hope you get into the program though.

Heather. This is the saddest/happiest news I have heard all day. I'm jumping up and down with joy and crying simultaneously (well, on the inside as not to attract more strange looks).

i agree with caroline: things happen as they're meant to. i'm glad you'll be with your mike though, & i agree wholeheartedly with your decision & the reasonsings behind it. for whatever that's worth.
