How Things Are

Contracts are signed and in the mail, final edits done, brief bio still on the to-do list, so I reckon it's OK to say that I sold a story titled "The L.I.L.I.T.H. System" to EC's anthology, Bound is the Bewitching Lilith. It's a fun piece, and EC pretty much made the whole process painless. Look for the antho at Popcorn Press, and expect to see ( Read more... )

*sqeeeeee!!!* How very wonderful that you have an upcoming publication!!!! I knew you'd get there.
Then to have Ed's book hitting the shelves soon is coolness as well. (Have two watch for it.)

Hugs about Gracie. Is she over the cold now and doing better?

Isn't it exciting? :-) It really is a fun story, even if I do say so myself, and I have to say I'm curious to see what the others in the antho are like. I think we have to have a party or something to celebrate the book's arrival in stores. And Grace's doing better, seems to be recovered except for some random sneezing. Thank goodness.

That's terrific! Chrissy got in on the Lilith anthology as well with "Death of the Madonna", a historical fiction tale about the last days of Isadora Duncan (who happens to be her great aunt, which makes the story that much more interesting!).

I look forward to Ed's book. I have it pre-ordered!

Funny thing is that I was just looking at a tattered yet well loved copy of "Goblin Tails" and was wondering how you folks were holding up. Glad to see things are going well. Take care and keep in touch!

Hey, Chris! It's good to hear from you. What have you guys been up to? I gather you've been keeping busy, eh? I'll check out Chrissy's story, for certain. The Isadora Duncan twist sounds *very* interesting! Thanks for the pre-order, too! GT was a great project; it's especially good to see how everyone (or at least everyone I know) involved in it has grown and really come into their own since its publication.

Hey there! I was just thinking about you the other day as I was listening to a new (to me) CD that reminded me of you and Lotus.

Congratulations on the story!!! *happyrabbitdance!* I'm looking forward to reading it and Ed's book, once it launches.

Poor Gracie *gentle strokes* and poor Lara and Ed for having to give her pills.

Two things, actually:

The new Robert Plant/Alison Krauss CD _Raising Sand_ www.robertplantalisonkrauss.com
which has songs from a mix of genres. The two songs in particular that reminded me of the sort of lyricism with a Gypsy sound are "Sister Rosetta Goes Before Us" and "Trampled Rose."

_Portals of Grace_ from Azam Ali, which has a mix of Breton, Galician, Byzantine, Sephardic and other music (medieval for the most part) interpreted by a woman who was born in Iran and raised in India. Complex and engaging, at least to me. (Part of the proceeds from the CD support RAWA: www.rawa.org which is also a good thing.)

I miss you. Come play sometime.
