We first got AOL in 1993 and I had my own screen name, when I was 11, so I picked 10 to 12. But yeah...I don't even remember life before internet anymore. Or cell phones. How did anyone ever meet up without cell phones?
i had a cell phone from 99-04 and then got rid of it. i found that no one called me on my home number. no one invited me anywhere. it was lame. i got a new phone this past summer and suddenly everyone calls me. no one likes calling home phones, everyone is weird about someone other than you picking up. i guess i'm kinda like that too.
my bad, rethinking it, we got aol in 94. so i was 13 i guess. for some reason i didn't think i had it till freshman year, but we definitely had it when i was in eighth grade because my teacher called it "ameriCAN online" and we had a conversation about how it was really americA online. how funny that i remember this.

I get that way. When my contract expires in 2008, however, I plan to go back to only using a landline. I need to cut that electronic umblical cord to the outside world.
I was 10-12 and everyone in our school got one. This was when I was in 6th grade, so 1994? It was CLN (Community Learners Network, I think) and was a network based out of our school. I think we may have only been able to email others on CLN when it first debuted.
