Sarabande 2009

As always I am the last one to post my pictures but here they are at last! I think they pretty much speak for themselves.

Poeke Castle is simply stunning, vampyresheep and I just could not taking pictures of it. We also have a fair amount of “tart pictures” (not Aly and me but Rob anddemondaz obviously) of us posing in front the fairytale pink castle.

OH!!!!! I was so happy to get the message from you the other night (thanks!!) ... and these pictures just made me even happier. You all look SPLENDID! Absolutely beautiful!!

How does this Viona pull it all off so smoothly?! Her vision is absolutely magical and I am in complete awe of her! How lucky you were to be able to get a photo with her ... you both look like princesses from a very dark fairy tale ... its WONDERFUL! :)

And the setting ... that castle ... the water ... many many sighs! :)

Thank you very much and I am so sorry I made you wait! I started updated Myspace & Facebook as those are quick to do and then I got caught up... I am glad I received your message to give me a little boost :)
Some people have already seen those at least three time! ^^'

Everything was just perfect that night. Viona and team are very well organised indeed. And the chocolate fountain was perfect to soak up the absinth too!

Maybe you can make the Winter one in the Neo-Gothic Chapel? Does not it sound like a dream!

Oh I wish I could attend the Winter one ... but alas, the funds are not in place to come to Europe this year. Of course, I could start purchasing lottery tickets, and see if I get lucky ... :)

Absinthe and chocolate ... sighs!

I just recently drank absinthe for the first time, and was a little frightened by how much I liked it ... I always think of that horrifying painting "L'Absinthe" by Degas, which I saw at the Musée d'Orsay.

They have lifted the ban on absinthe in the States, but are only selling the weaker version of it ... so maybe I wouldn't end up like that poor lady ... of course the stuff that I liked so much was the real deal, and I would rather buy some of it one of these days ... oh dear! :)

Haha, I knew excatly what painting you were talking about without looking at the link! She is quite scary indeed, really puts you off drinking the Green Fairy!

I think that the only absinthe you can find is "fake" anyway but nonetheless very good :D
I was hoping to bring some from Belgium especially as they had two French brands at the party but did not find any... >-<'

I just looove absinthe, shame it is so rare to come across it...

Aww thank you Nadia, coming from it really means a lot.
I was so happy to see you to too, it was getting quite quiet and if you'd arrived ten minutes later I would have probably been asleep behind my table where Darren had a doze earlier!

Yes, I will be at Vagabonds on Saturday with a couple of friends from Paris. See you there :)
