CIVILIAN LIFE:

Q1. Name: Musyc

Q2. How did you find out about Elite of the Fleet? rotae stuffed the idea into my brain. :)

Q3. When did you first become interested in Star Trek? Oh, damn. Tough to tell on this one. I'm not quite old enough to have watched TOS in its original airings, but I'm not too far off from that. I've been interested in ST since ( Read more... )

I can have moments of starry-eyed ecstasy in an office supply store.
You made me lol. I share your enthusiasm for organization and the tools to get you there.

There is no no-win in my world.
And I believe it -- that you wouldn't stop until you found the answer to a solution if you think it will benefit you or another. You're the person I would stick on a problem-solving team not to decide, but to generate ideas. Very useful.

Tell me more about this hot chocolate bet, please. :) (This will have no effect on your Enlistment, I'm just curious and love food-facts.)

I have to struggle with the conflicts that arise from a constant barrage of "oh, but why don't you hang out with us?" situations. I still haven't quite figured out how to get my preferences across without offending people.I've actually felt this a few times, I think, seeing how you work with Rotae on her journal during the organization of this, and a few other times around Twitter I think. I get this about you. It's one of those things you feel, and you give this off rather ( ... )

Hahaha, it was an argument over where hot chocolate had come from, oddly enough. The other person was convinced it had been invented in Europe, but I whipped out my trusty stash o' facts about the Mayans. :D

Och, I had trouble with you!

Honestly I nearly had you down for Operations, but I think there's something very telling in the order in which people list their strengths and weaknesses. It's almost a value system: the first strength is often the one they're most proud of, whilst their first weakness is often the one that they're most frustrated with/that impacts their life the most.

Seeing you list 'Solitary' as your first weakness helped me in the decision. Especially since you mentioned that you don't mind it yourself, but that the way others see it worries you.

I get the impression of a fairly unassuming individual, who likes things to be under control and who likes to observe the environment and people around (I could be wrong, of course - it's interesting that I'm doing this without knowing any of you very well!).

For the first time, though, the MBTI really solidified the decision. I think Exploratory Sciences is the place for you!

Oooh, interesting, I never use the order people list them in as a decisive factor. But I can see how that would be an unconscious hint!

You're like... textbook Exploratory Sciences, LOL. Honestly, I can't do any better than to copy and paste the psych profile, haha XDDD

This was very interesting to read! :D It's funny when you see your good friends talking about themselves in comparison to your own perception of them.

What I get from this is that you choose to be more of a solitary person, but when you make a friend, it's a strong connection. You're highly analytical, you know what you want, and you're not afraid to go out and get it :) <3

Peace,
Rotae

LOL YOU DON'T LIKE PULASKI EITHER, HUH?

HA. I remember you saying you saw a lot of yourself in my app, and as I read yours I see a lot of myself in yours as well. I think the main difference between us is that you see your solitary nature as a disadvantage, while I accept my solitary nature and see it as a strength. You deeply wish you could better understand others on a social level, but it's an obstacle for you. So that rules out Operations and Medical, because those are more people- and intuition-centered tracks. You admire Bones because he sticks to his convictions, not because he's out there saving people.

Your strengths lie in more intellectual, cerebral pursuits, in organizing and analyzing, and this clearly points to Science. You need structure in your life (I procrastinate and slack unless I've got a definite deadline) and I don't think the spontaneous decisions needed by someone in Tactical would fit your style. While you value efficiency, you like to take the time to explore all sides of a problem and make sure you--and ( ... )
