Autumn Contest 2009
Dearest Enlings,
We apologize for disappearing for so long. A few of us are going through some changes in our personal lives, so we haven’t had time to concentrate on the website for a while. Our website will also be undergoing some major changes, which we’ll be announcing shortly. Due to personal reasons, Japonais will not be able to continue helping us, so me and Gekka_no_neko will take over the contest sections from now on.
Without further ado, I’m pleased to announce our theme for our second Autumn Contest! The theme this year will be making a Gackt figurine/doll! We would like to challenge you to make a 3-dimensional figurine/doll/object made of any material, which shows any of Gackt’s looks from the past 10 years. This is in part to celebrate his 10 year anniversary, so we’ve decided to not set the time/era/style of the look, but to leave that decision to your creative minds.
Rules:
- Any material is allowed. Please check with us if you are not sure.
- We would prefer if you make a full figure, but no penalties will be given if you don’t (Be reminded though, that the more you have, the more we’ll be able to give you scores on)
- It has to show one of his looks from the past 10 years, excluding Malice Mizer but including Requiem et Reminiscence II looks.
- There is no size limit - you are free to make it as big or as small as you want.
- A minimum of 4 photos (Max. 6) are to be submitted, each showing the front, the back, and the left and right side of the object. You are allowed to submit two additional photos from whatever angle you want which you think best showcases your object, or photos of any details on the object that you want to highlight.
- You are allowed to submit as many entries as you want.
You will be judged on:
- Design (20 pts) - Similarity to the real style; Originality; Creativity.
- Technique (20 pts) - How realistic the object is, etc.
- Extra (5 pts) - Inclusion of extra details; or just simply whether we like it or not. :)
Submissions and Deadline
* All submissions must be sent in before 29 November 2009 (Sunday) midnight, Japan time, to be eligible for the points.
* You are required to submit 4 photographs (up to a max. of 6) - each showing Front, Back, Left, and Right angle of the object.
* All submissions are to be posted on LJ which will be screened. Or email sweiled@eiennoyume.com

Prizes
* All participants will receive 30 PAS points, and as a special bonus, we will give 5 extra PAS points to the first three entrants.
* The top prize will be the 2010 Official Wall Calendar. Link
* 2nd place: $10 gift certificate (choose from YesAsia, Amazon Japan, or HMV Japan)
* 3rd place: $5 gift certificate (choose from Amazon Japan or HMV Japan.)
* We are also thinking of giving away bonus PAS points, depending on the number of participants we get. So take part in the contest now for more additional bonuses!
And for the first time ever, we will be introducing the “Members’ Favourite” corner, where members of this community will get a chance to vote for their favourite entry! If you haven’t joined the community yet, please do so~! This way you’ll be able to join in the fun even if you’re not participating yourself. We’ll post all the entries after the deadline and the winner will be given extra PAS points, so keep a lookout and remember to vote for your favourite!
