Mikoto was standing in the middle of the Town Square, bouncing slightly on her toes as she waited for the blond boy.

She smiled as she sensed him coming, knowing that he was trying to sneak up on her. "You should mask you Chakra better," she called over her shoulder, her smile growing into a wide grin.

[growstronger]

"Aw, you spotted me?!" He whined, rubbing the back of his neck. "And I was trying to so hard to hide!"

He'd never really been good at being subtle, though, and he knew that. Her grin impressed him, and he smiled back a little.

"How long have you been waiting here?"

[miiikoo]

"Not long," she reassured, lacing her hands behind her back with her smile still in place. "Next time you try to sneak up on me, I'll make sure to play along," the girl giggled.

"Good!" Naruto said, to both of her comments, not being able to resist the urge to put a hand on her head and ruffle her hair a bit.

"You're really tiny, y'know!" Thinking about, it was odd that this little girl was actually Sasuke and Itachi's mother.
