The act had brought back a few fond memories. After all, he had just been part of a snowball fight - no, not a fight, a war - with the King and the rest of the Host Club. Kaoru brought himself back from his pleasant memory with a hesitant and guilty new outlook. He didn't know too many people in this hotel, and he might have angered the other male. Damn conscience liked to make itself known without Hikaru around.

Where had he seen him before? A flash of memory and he recalled the young man who had been kind enough to return his room plaque. Apparently he was trying to play games with him now, unless of course it was a mistake.

He was afraid, however, without Hikaru, he was about as useful as a school girl's first crush. But he wouldn't let either of them figure that out, so he bent over to scoop a handful of snow to toss right back into the new guy's face. Just as soon as the clump of white left his hands, however, Kaoru noticed his unbalanced posture (specifically his left foot sticking up in the air to mirror his outstretched hand) and began to realize that gravity was taking its toll.
Next thing he knew he had buried his face in a relatively untouched mound of cold, white, crystallized water.
