Looking at the room he was staying in briefly, Soul tried to decide if they might need anything in case of attack. If all else failed, there was always retreat. He turned out of the room and left the door open. He chuckled, walking down the corridor. Maka was really rubbing off on him, wasn't she? He would have never stopped to think about their plan.

He heard a cackle, in the back of his mind. Scowling, he jogged up to where he was supposed to meet Kid. Now was not the best time for the demon to make himself known. Soul had almost forgotten he was there..

Approaching Kid, he slowed down. "Hey! You ready?"

"Of course." he greeted with a small smile. "Better make our way up, those creatures have been making the most horrendous sounds."

With a quick push to the button the doors, thankfully, slide open much sooner than he'd had expected them to. Yet it seemed reasonable as well since most of the people were here already on this floor.

Ducking his head inside he gives the small room a glance over not really noticing anything within.

"It seems clear for now." His body in defense ready for any sudden attack he steps within.

"Yeah, I'm not a fan of this game either," he said. Once the doors of the elevator opened, Soul found himself fixated on the empty space. It seemed too calm, especially for what was going on throughout the rest of the hotel.

"Kid, are you sure taking the elevator is a good idea?" he asked, following his companion cautiously into the space. "It wasn't safe before the reflections took over."

"Well it's either this or the stairs which we know have things in them for now." His attention seemed to wane at the subject as his gaze focused on the elevator buttons.

Apparently there was so way to actually indicate what the top floor was. What was even worse and had Kid's eye twitching slightly was the fact that it all seemed horribly jumbled up.

"What the hell is this?! There's no order to this machinery at all!!!" Burying his fingers within his hair he looked about the contraption quite annoyed and considering ways in which to fix the situation.
