Sasuke got up from his bed as soon as he heard the knock. She was here. He had been away for a week basically and she had arrived. He knew he should have checked the laptop more frequently, even if he was exploring. He stopped slightly as he felt a particularly sharp stab of pain in his eyes. He shut them tightly as he made his way to the door.

He was almost worried it was a trick. Some cruel joke played by the Host. He unlocked the door and slowly opened his eyes. It was her. He swallowed. Someone who he hadn't seen in eight years. He couldn't find words to speak even a simple hello.

She gave a small, almost sad smile before wrapping her arms around him in a hug and pulling him close to her. "How are you feeling, sweetie?" she murmured, kissing the top of his head.

"They hurt. But I'll be fine," Sasuke mumbled allowing himself to be pulled into her embrace. His heart pounded in his chest. Eight years. Eight years. He swallowed before taking a deep breath and asked, "So have you talked with Itachi yet?"

She pulled away and held him at arm length, getting a good look at him. "I talked with him briefly. He wanted me to see you first for some reason."
