Beyond hands shook as he opened the door, a small part of him telling that maybe, just maybe, he should turn away and go back to him room; that this was possibly dangerous and stupid and that A was dead and the dead couldn't come back, no matter what.
However, that part was being drowned out by the rest of him, which was currently reduced to nothing but a quivering pile of broken logic. It wasn't like him; he had seen death, but experiencing it first hand was a completely different manner.
He swallowed, noticing how the room was almost completely dark -but not dark enough-, and stepped inside, noticing Near -A?- with that little coy smirk that only she could muster. "A...?"
His smirk grew wider, only to quickly fade away. Her voice happened to come out of Near immediately, without Near even thinking about it. "Yes B, this is me, A." He nods to himself, trying to this thought implanted in his mind. "I'm sorry for my appearance, I'm not very fond of the boy. Still, haven't I taught you better then that?"
He looks at him with eyes that she could give him, mad at the same time manipulative, commanding at the same time caring. "Are you troubled B, you don't seem so happy to see me."
Beyond stepped inside, quietly closing the door behind him. "It... It is nothing." He said, a little too quickly for his tastes, and avoided the stare currently being directed towards him.
He never lied to A, but he couldn't bring himself to say anything else; after all, he didn't know what he was doing. This could all be just a big mistake, and he could be walking into another one of the Host's tricks, another elaborate ploy to cripple him further.
...And yet, he couldn't -didn't- want to believe that, a part of him selfishly telling him that this was A, and that he should be happy.
