My life and its general confusion

New week coming up, and for once I'm all rested and ready for it...which is good, since it's going to be a tough week! Lots of fun stuff though, so I'm not complaining. 
First going to see Beowulf in the local cinema, a movie that I think could be justly  said containing a plot that is 'dirty underdressed men with big swords kill ugly monsters.' *

Oh, I can't wait to see The Golden Compass. I haven't seen Beowulf yet, and I fear it will be out of the theatres before I get there.

What did you think of the 'Golden Compass'? I enjoyed it even though I'd read the books first.
I know the American producers had to tread carefully with the 'Magisterium' and the plot's anti religion message.
Personally I was very happy with it. *g*

The movie was rather good, I thought, although of course the book is much, much better. Nicole Kidman was very good as psycopatic mother, and the special effects were astounding. I hope they will make The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglasses as well.
