Got six hours of sleep after a bunch of silliness last night. I holed myself up in my room to finish critting and then went out into the other room to find a “crit party” going on. woobie?

I do wonder how many are going in with rough drafts. It's not like they search you at the door, right? But then, that goes in to the you-get-what-you-paid-for basket, and cheating the system seems to be counter-productive. Like you said, not challenging. But then, it sounds like a tough slog, eh? Man, I wish I was there!

A woobie is a sweater or sweatshirt. I brought the pink hoodie I bought while at VP.

No, they don't search us at the door! And yeah, the whole idea is to experiment and really try for something new and to fail spectacularly and figure out how to succeed the next time around. I plan on trying to finish a new draft for next week and later in the marathon, if I get caught without a draft, I'll turn in that crazy one I finished last week before getting on the plane since NO ONE has seen it at all.

Sounds like a plan. How much do they help do you get with figuring out how to succeed the next time around? I think that's where I have trouble -- I can see the fail, I just can't see the fix.

-- Looking forward to learning from you.
