I am easy to please :D I have so far been spoiled with updates to Elfscribe's superb 'Elegy' and Ziggy's amazing Sons of Thunder, so now I am looking forward to an update from Esteliel, which I hope will be quite soon. Sometimes the updates come along round about the same time, and I feel like a gourmand!
Waiting very impatiently for the new season of Doctor Who that starts Saturday (and rewatching Season 5 in preparation), and reading Wise Man's Fear by Patrick Rothfuss.
Well, I am a Tom Baker fan. The next doctor (#5 I believe) was OK, but the one after that really didn't do it for my DH and I so we got out of the habit. I spend too much time with the TV on behind me as it is, and have no desire to be pulled back into it again :-)
//What are you doing for entertainment this week?//
Nothing!
... not quite true, of course; there was the end of the conference yesterday and today I've been out with an old friend. But for the rest of the week, I'll have to echo Spiced_Wine's reading and writing, with probably a splash of Elder Scrolls: Oblivion thrown into the mix.
I used to play Oblivion, a long time ago. It was rather fun, but then I got pulled into LOTRO and Oblivion went into oblivion (sorry ... couldn't resist).
I still have not yet read Elfscribe's update to Elegy. Saving as a treat and have not had the peace or quiet to get to it when I wasn't too tried to enjoy it.
Still recovering from extra work yesterday and running around sick on Sunday. I am no fun at all to ask about entertainment.
Hey welcome to the world of Ellen Kushner's Swordspoint. I enjoyed listening to Air on the G String, been a while since I'd heard it. It's interesting that it made you think of Alec and Richard. They do create a sort of safe haven for each other. Richard's calm, self-possession a place for Alec's batshit stuff to bounce off. Ellen did manage to create chemistry there.
I'll be curious what you think of Fall of the Kings, which I love, but other fans of Swordspoint were less pleased by.
And I agree, nice to see Sean Bean wearing a sword and long hair. Guess I may have to see if I can watch this show on-line.
Well, I just finished Privilege and started Fall. I have, of course, yet to form an opinion of this one since I just started it, but I like her writing. It's easy on the mind :-)
Alec and Richard are such perfect foils for each other, and Katherine ended up working well within their spheres without losing her unique personality. The only thing I found hard about Privilege is how quickly she "mastered" the blade, although by the end of it she was practicing very diligently. It is a series of books that I know I will happily read again and again, so I'm very pleased that I got them for my Nook. They will become old friends.

Recover from your overdoing things on Sunday. You need to indulge yourself for a bit.
