My DH managed to do a serious crash to his computer yesterday afternoon. At least one of his graphics cards is fried, the keyboard and mouse are completely non-responsive, and windows won't boot properly.
Thank goodness for great computer gurus. Dale called me at 6:30 am, I had the CPU in his hands shortly after 7 am, he had it fixed by 8:15 am, I had it back home and up and running by 9:15 am and I'm at work on time. I love my computer geek.
I want a computer geek. Pande moved to Boston and took her adorable son with her. I need to try to find one. Can you believe that my daughter does not have a single friend who knows how to do anything on computers except download music, upload pictures to Facebook, and Twitter away with one another? My son thinks he can do things, but he can't. He has a black thumb. When it comes to the most basic things, I am better than him. It's just wrong. I thought they were supposed to be the computer generation.
I am very fortunate. This particular geek was one who was introduced to me by a friend. His work is amazing and I'll hire him later this year to build a new computer for me. Everyone else I would take a system to would keep it for a week or so. He'll just have me sit, he'll work on it while talking about high-end computer stuff with me, and we'll have fun while the system is doing it's thing. And he's VERY reasonable. Yeah, I'm VERY lucky with him.
