A Look Back

 Last night's corned beef dinner was fantastic, and the best part of it was that I didn't have to cook it. My DH did a great job cooking (of course, there really wasn't much to it - the beef gets boiled with spices, the cabbage gets heated up, and the potatoes get added to the water XXX amount of time before the meal is complete. he daily activities of those brave people trying to keep the nuclear plant from melt-down is phenomenal and heart-breaking.

I am just weighed down with horror at what is going on there.

They did that at Chernobyl, didn't they, dropped sand? You would think after so many years they would have developed better ways of dealing with catastrophes of this nature.

Yes, that is exactly what they did at Chernobyl. And it doesn't seem that we have learned very much at all since those black days, and that doesn't surprise me in the least.

I am totally heartsick about where the world is going these days, and grateful beyond belief that I never brought children into a world that is quickly going down the drain. I guess I just never had faith in humanity to act in a humane fashion. How depressing.

I definitely have none. It's why I primarily write Elves. I simply don't like the human race very much. :(

I wish it were otherwise, but too many of the people I have met have been touched by Darkness and I dislike coming into close contact with Evil. I have to agree with you.
