Petra has always fascinated me.

It's great to think that even in patriarchal societies that may not have married for love, turned out at least some happy couples. I am sure that aspect is true.

I never thought of camels as fierce. I learned something!

I'm quite sure that many arranged marriages have turned into strong partnerships. Certainly "love" matches like we tend to have in the USA aren't always the best unions over time, are they?

Camels are obnoxious, stinky, and bad-tempered, but they serve a very significant purpose and the deep desert dwellers would have never survived without the camel.
