Donna Paulsen was better at lying.

This sentence speaks to me. It speaks to me because it speaks volumes about the ways that they are the same and the ways that they are different. Because they are both liars, because they both put up a facade that everything may be okay when it really isn't, but she is far better at the game than he is. She can read him like an open book like it's her job (and it kind of is her job just not to the extent in which she can) but he does not read her beyond what is obvious.

I love it. I love this so much even though the missing letters made me laugh.

Uhh yes! That's exactly what I tried to capture. And ultimately, they'll continue dodging each other until it gets to the endline (WHICH I HOPE IS SOON) so they have to talk about it.

Damn you starting me with a smile and ending it with me all O.O and having feelings. Great flow here - I didn't "see it coming" which doesn't really make sense because there's not a twist here, but it went somewhere unexpected but heartfelt, and the ending sort of knocked me on my ass and I was like, oh.

And that last line. Wow. YES.
