You and your glorious writing... I want to hate you for writing this beautifully, really, but god, it just makes me feel emotions and my heart is full of them right now.

I would love Blair to become that woman again. the one that wouldn't take bullshit from anyone, the one that wouldn't go back to guys that hurt her too many times. You wrote that Blair so beautifully (could you be the GG writers?). Sometimes, I think Dair fans read too much into Gossip Girl, but after reading fics like yours, I remember that Dan and Blair are probably that kind of relationship where you have to go under the surface to really understand then and, then again, they are just so themselves, you can't even describe them.

So, I wrote all those run-on sentences to tell you I loved this and, wow, I would really like to see that Dan and Blair relationship on the show (but alas, it's just a teen soap with low ratings). I'll do with what it is right now, although they're now together :)

Oh wow! Thank you! This is suchh a lovely compliment.

I totally agree that it would be lovely for Blair to become that strong, independant woman again, but I don't think the writers are looking to take her in that direction.

I think Dair have a certain quality that makes them very different to Chuck and Blair and while I used to love that ship, I think there is a lot of things that make Dair lovely too. I don't think either of the ships are really all that great anymore, but at the very least Dan makes Blair happy.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this. I cannot begin to tell you how humbling it is.

The writers... as you've said, they won't revisit the powerful arc anytime soon I think. It's a shame, really... Gossip Girl had so much potential in the first two seasons, but the the quality of the writing began to dwindle and we were left with "spectacular" storylines and big blow-ups - a sign that GG has sailed its ship. I would honestly be content that they end the series with season 6, on a great note.

I feel like the characters have matured so much that they can't keep the OMG premise of the beginning... that's maybe why most of us can't relate to the characters anymore. I have to admit, I loved Chair at the beginning, but as they matured, they had less and less common ground. You're right : both ships have their downfalls. Dan is not perfect and neither is Blair. But, right now, Dair has injected a bit of happiness in the gloomy schemy world that is GG right now, so I won't even complain :P

It was my pleasure : I know how being reviewed feels like :)

so you're a devout chair shipper? ;) i don't know.. you may be right but with the way the gg writers go, they move from one ship to another, from one story to another. they don't have a clue what they're doing anymore. i would be happy if it ended on the end of season 5! season six, in my opinnion, would be a travesty.

matured.. to some extent. half the time they give thems o much character development only to knock it down so as to work it into some stupid plot that is unbelievable anyway.

i've always said - i just want her to be happy and if she chooses dan, so be it.
