[Winry's been pacing in the kitchen for a good couple minutes now, a clear look of distress on her face. She's trying really, really hard not to freak out but considering what has happened it is becoming increasingly more difficult. Finally she just takes out her PCD--she automatically reaches for voice, but considering her circumstances she's not

From the look of it, they've taken one of the human senses. Sight, hearing, taste, smell, touch. Some people have lost their voice, though.

That'd explain it then. This is really bad, especially for the people who have lost their sight. How are we going to fix things?

There's no fixing it, I'm afraid. For now we just try to get our bearings and take care of people as best we can. The effects usually wear off in about a week.
