Might as well add it to the list of vaccinations that babies get when they're born. There are so many strains of the virus, yet only a handful actually cause the cancer (more than 2). The other strains cause genital warts, plantar warts, hand warts or do absolutely nothing at all! and you can have more than one strain at a time.
Most women who contract any genital (warts or dysplasia) strains beat it within a year, and about 75% by 2 years.
((my info is what I was told by the CDC directly))
I think it's great they completed the vaccine so quickly (although that's kind of something to be weary of) but it's useless to me - and my body can't beat this virus either.

i know they've been working on different vaccines for std's for a while. some girl i knew in highschool was apart of one of the studies. i think this is amazing. especially because hpv rates are astronomical. i personally know 2 girls who have early stages of cervical cancer and they are both under 25. both caused by hpv. and both of their doctors didn't inform them they even had hpv even though they had gone and gotten tested!

my twin sister did this study.

Apparently they said its more effective when given at about 12-15 years of age.

I think its great!!!
