9:00 | The School Hallways

Sheldon hadn't been Dean's only run-in at the diner earlier.  He'd also overheard a conversation that some much nerdier kid was having... with himself.  Muttering and mumbling and messing with some weird looking websites online...  He'd shut the lid hard when Dean had walked up behind him, but he'd gotten a glimpse.

Something about rituals, and some ( Read more... )

Ruby was bored. If she had to see another taffeta monstrosity walk through the door, she'd probably have to stab something, and any sane demon would have probably bolted by now -- or slaughtered the entire gym -- but Ruby was supposed to be laying low. Never mind the fact that the annoying Slayer thing was in there and she wasn't looking to pick a fight.

She had gotten all dressed up -- she didn't want to ruin the merchandise.

So she started wandering down the hallways, trying to see if there was anything actually interesting going on, and she came to a stop when Dean friggin' Winchester rolled into view. As in the Big Giant Obstacle when it would come to getting to Sam later. From what he looked like, he didn't seem like much, but she had a feeling that that could come back and bite her in the ass later ( ... )

Speakin' of trouble, here came some in a pair of heels.

He considered ducking down a side hall to avoid having to answer questions, but she didn't have the look of being stuck up enough to go ragging on him for being down here. Plus, she was down here in the first place.

"Headin' away from the party, you know," he remarked coolly.

She shrugged slowly, making her way closer to him. Her fingers continued to turn against the lockers, giving him a bit of a coy smile. "Not my school. I guess I underestimated how boring it would be, going to a prom with no one you know."

When she got close enough, she gave him a grin before extending a hand. "I'm Kelly."

He looked at the hand for a moment, before giving it a firm shake, as he wondered whose date she had to be. She obviously hadn't come to another school's prom without knowing anybody at all, right?

"Dean. You somebody's date or somethin'?"

"Or something." She shrugged, trying to play it off as best she could. If the guy went around looking for Cas ... there could be problems. She was going to pass on that particular reunion.

"Just a friend. He wanted to crash his old school's prom and conned me into doing it with him."

"Seems like the place to crash tonight," he said. "But nothin' down here, unless you're looking for some privacy."

He couldn't really keep up the search with chicky poo poking around.

She raised an eyebrow at that, before smirking. "Maybe I am." She then turned around him, starting to walk backwards down the hallway. "Wanna join me?"

Well, well. His eyebrow shot up, and he couldn't help but give her a glance over, trying to evaluate an answer.

Focus, Dean. Focus.

People's lives at stake. Or... something.

"I would, but uh, I'm kinda meetin' someone." Probably someone like a zombie or vampire or some shit, but... same diff.

There's a pout. Then she made her way closer again, playing with the lapels of his shirt as she spoke. "Well. You change your mind ... you know where to find me."

She gave him a little bit of a tug, before letting go and continuing to head back down the hallway. Eighteen year-old libido, we'll see how well he took that.

Dean's eyebrows climbed up his face, as did a really stupid smile as he looked her up and down. Holy hot damn. Before he could say anything else she was heading off, and he hesitated for a moment, ready to rocket after her and find the nearest janitor's closet.

His phone started beeping though, the second he took a step and he cursed under his breath as he looked down to check it.

... Great. Dad was expecting him to pick up something for a late dinner tonight, and expected to be back within the next two hours.

His time frame had just shrunk substantially. He frowned and looked up after her, calling out: "Got a name, sweetheart?"

She turned back to him and raised an eyebrow with a smirk. "Forgetting me already? That's a bad sign."

But more like a good one for her. If Dean was this much of a shortbus now, he'd probably be twice that once he lost a few more brain cells. "It's Kelly."

Oh right, she'd... probably mentioned that already. Look, he was less interested in names than in other things. No one is perfect.

"Right, right," he said, rubbing his chin. "I'll look for you later then."

Right. No one's perfect. And you're making yourself out to be way too easy a mark.

"Yeah," she nodded. "Later."

And with that, she'll continue her walk down the hallway.
