I just had to comment - briefly - on Evanescence's new video, which I just watched for the first time on youtube. Okay, first, I didn't care much for this song to begin with. Really - it's called "call me when you're sober" which itself isn't a very promising title. The song is...odd. For the first thirty seconds or so, your first instinct is to

I'm a little confused now. I thought Evanescence broke up years ago. When did they get back together? o_O I LOVED them when they released their first two albums. Your description right there isn't making me want to try out their new music though. It's like a Kelly Clarkson song. Which wouldn't be bad, if it were actually Kelly Clarkson. I like her. She's ok. But it's EVANESCENCE. I like Kelly too, but Amy just doesn't work like that. Ugh, I think I'd be unconscious and on the floor if I ever heard this song. x_x;;;; *clings to the old albums*

Nuh-uh, a member (heh, actually, the co-founder) Ben Moody left the group, by Amy Lee and the rest of the band members stayed. It was pretty much a two-person group, since Amy and Ben did most of the writing, and the other guys really were basically just there to play the instruments. But "Evanescence" itslf didn't break up, just Ben and Amy, and Amy kept the Evanescence band name and Amy Lee + backup band guys are releasing a new album :) I KNOW, I loved them too! Their new song is...annoying to me, but I'm bitchy about some things. You can see the video/hear the song here and witness for yourself ^_^ (but don't blame me if you go unconscious :P) If you like it, let me know - for all my bitching I have the mp3 (got it when the single was released) I keep hoping it'll grow on me, but... *shrugs*
